Bike Helmet Lost

Standard

A boy in my class lost his bike helmet at the end of school today. He left it hanging on his bike handles this morning and when he went home, it was not there.

It is a white helmet to fit a 7 year old, with ‘Giro’ written on it and has an orange mark on the front right.

If you happen to have picked it up please could you contact me on claire.leprevost@stmartins.sch.gg so I can reunite them for the summer holidays!

Thank you!

XMA Junior Schools Athletics

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder for any children representing the school in the athletics tomorrow evening, Wednesday 13th June. The start time is 5pm prompt and the finish should be approximately 8pm. Year 3 and 4 children may be collected after their events have finished.

All children must be dropped off at Footes Lane tomorrow at 4.30pm, where a member of staff will meet them on the grass area inside the track. Children must be in the school athletics kit and will be given a t shirt tomorrow which can be worn while they warm up. (Please name this t-shirt before coming to the event!). Warm clothing and a drink is also advisable.

They will also be given a programme of events for your reference.

See you tomorrow.

Tag Rugby Festival – Results

Standard

A huge congratulations for all of our children who represented St Martins at the Canaccord Junior Schools Tag Festival this morning.

We had two Year 3 and 4 teams who played 3 games each in the preliminary rounds. One team went through to the cup competition however they were unfortunately knocked out in the quarter finals. Our second Year 3 and 4 team made it through to the final of the Plate competition. Unluckily, they were beaten in the last few seconds by one try!

Our Year 5 and 6 teams both played extremely well in the preliminary rounds. One team went through to the cup competition after winning all their earlier games, although lost in the quarter finals. Our second Year 5 and 6 team bought a trophy back to St Martins. After some very tough and tense games, they went on to become winners of the plate competition.

A special mention too for our Year 6 boys who took part in a round robin of contact Rugby and won both of their games.

Please could all children involved in the festival meet us at Footes lane by the Garrenne stand by 8.45am tomorrow morning. According to the programme, Years 3 & 4 should be finished by 12.20 and Years 5 & 6 should be finished by 13.10.

Children will be given a t-shirt to wear for the day. Please also bring warm clothing as it may get chilly while we are waiting for our games. Snacks and drinks are also recommended.

Many Thanks

Tag Rugby Cancelled on Friday 2nd March

Unfortunately, there will be NO Tag Rugby sessions for Year 3 and 4 at lunchtime or Year 5 and 6 after school tomorrow, due to staff attending other school commitments.

The children who have been selected to represent the school in the Tag Rugby Festival on Saturday 24th March will receive a letter next week confirming their place in the team. These children will be invited to come to training on Friday 9th and 16th March.

If your child does not have a place in the team, then there will be no more training sessions this term.

Many thanks
